When an enemy is transporting your teammate, move with support to a crossing or approach you can reach. The aim is to stop an uncontested delivery and keep your ally's way back in view. Chasing from far behind often arrives after the deposit.
This is earlier than a jail rescue. You are dealing with a moving carrier, often with an escort, rather than a prisoner already behind bars. Identify which situation you have before you commit to the wrong target.
Find the carrier and the next choke
Use team colors and the visible carried player. An enemy running past you is not automatically transporting someone. Look at the direction they are taking, then find the next place you and an ally can challenge that route. A narrow crossing or the approach to their base can be easier to read than a chase through unrelated fights, if you can reach it without isolating yourself.
Do not wait at a distant point the carrier will never pass. Adjust when the route changes.
| Situation | Priority |
|---|---|
| Carrier approaching with no nearby escort | Contest the route and watch your ally |
| Their escort turns toward you | Keep a teammate on the carrier |
| Carrier changes path | Move to the new approach |
| Your support falls behind | Regroup before you enter their base |
| Opponent reaches their jail | Switch to an outside rescue |
If their escort pulls you into a long side fight, check whether the delivery is continuing behind you. Winning that fight after your teammate is jailed does not solve the original problem. A short call that names the route and the carried teammate gives nearby allies a reason to join.
Read the carried state after you hit
Do not plan on a universal one-hit release. After an attack or an ability, look at whether the carrier still has your teammate and what that teammate can do.
If your ally can move away, cover the retreat toward friendly support. If the carrier continues, reassess the route and the help you have. Stay where you can fall back toward your team. An interception that leaves both of you alone beside the enemy base can add another capture even while you contest the first one.
If the carrier completes the delivery, stop treating the moving route as the target. Find the cage, gather support, and coordinate a bar section with the prisoner. If your ally gets away, regroup. You can walk them toward support or help the nearest threatened jail. You do not need to chase the former carrier across the arena.
